This work is presented as a tribute to the famous "Christ of Mantegna", reinterpreted through the symbolism of a closed portcullis. This choice represents the need to find a moment of rest and reflection, even for a deity. The idea that even the highest entities must face the brunt of human interactions is central to this representation. The portcullis, an everyday and industrial element, creates a contrast with the sacred aura of Christ, suggesting that modern life and its challenges can cushion sacredness, making every being, divine or human, vulnerable. In this dialogue between the sacred and the profane, the artist invites us to consider the fragility of the human and divine condition, highlighting how complex and extraordinary the relationship between human beings and the absolute is.
