Kanagawa Okinami Ura

Replicare un'opera iconica come "La Grande Onda al largo di Kanagawa" di Hokusai è un compito che suscita sempre un certo livello di ansia tra gli artisti. La paura di non essere all'altezza della magnificenza di un capolavoro esistente può costituire un freno creativo. Tuttavia, ispirata da un documentario, ho deciso di affrontare questa sfida, trasformando l'opera in una mia personale reinterpretazione su lamiera.

Replicating an iconic work such as Hokusai's "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" is a task that always arouses a certain level of anxiety among artists. The fear of not being up to the magnificence of an existing masterpiece can be a creative brake. However, inspired by a documentary, I decided to take on this challenge, transforming the work into my own personal reinterpretation on sheet metal.
